February 2024 Networking Event - National Girls and Women Sports Day

Saturday, February 3^rd is National Girls and Women in Sports Day and IWIL is celebrating with the UIS Women's Basketball team! The will be a “meet and greet” type event in their hospitality room during the Women’s Basketball game. All women student athletes, coaches and faculty will be invited since it’s National Girls and Women in Sports Day. UIS is encouraging young kids to attend as well as family/friends to attend their event. They will have photo ops, meet the players and autographs after the game.

Event details:

• IWIL members will be in the hospitality room to meet student athletes/coaches/faculty.
• Meet at 12:30 p.m. to begin pre-game networking.
• UIS Women’s game is at 1:00 p.m. – For those IWIL members who want to attend the game, cost is $5.
• Those that do not want to attend can stay in the hospitality room until halftime.

Halftime activities:

• All student athletes, coaches, faculty, and kids will have a photo taken.
• After the photo, the student athletes, coaches, and faculty will be encouraged to come to the hospitality room to meet IWIL members. (Basketball team will not be available)
• We will be providing complimentary food/cookies and beverages (soda/water) for anyone that chooses to come to the hospitality room.
• For any IWIL member that chooses to participate, UIS is going to offer some swag as a giveaway/thanks for coming. This will be done as a random drawing after halftime/networking is over. 
• If any member would like, they can stay and meet the women’s basketball team after the game as they will be doing their own meet and greet, photos and autographs.

We hope that several of you to join us! Feel free to bring any family since it is a family event. For anyone that brings a child age 12 and under, they get in free to the game.
