Join us for our monthly luncheon, open to all IWIL members and their guests. Registration is $18 per person before October 13 and $23 after October 13 or at the door.

Stacey Skrysak (News Channel 20 Anchor) has been called fat, ugly, and many other hurtful names over the years. As a professional woman she chose to ignore the negative comments and focus on her career. The cumulative effect took its toll and eventually Stacey decided that enough was enough, and she was determined to use her voice and her experience to inform others about how damaging hate speech is. Her message is about lifting each other up, not tearing each other down & it drew national attention, appearing on websites like The Today Show, Redbook and Daily Mail.

IWIL has taken the Inspire and Empower theme to heart, not only to shape our luncheon topics, but to influence the very fabric of our community. This luncheon provides an opportunity for each of us to hear how damaging hate speech can be; to self-evaluate and call attention to how our words and our habits impact our relationships, our self-image, and how we are perceived—all in an effort to cultivate positive change and overall improvement.
